The bulb burned out in one of my brake lights.  I normally take my Subaru to the dealer for service, which is all the way in Santa Monica.....but no way was I driving over there for a simple bulb replacement.  I went a few blocks down the road to Osborn's.  They helped me right away, although I had no appointment  & had never been there before & they were busy.  The first guy could not figure out how to get the tail light cover off (neither could I...leave it to Subaru) & the boss saw him trying to force it off and came & took over the job.  (The plastic cover costs around $300 to replace if it breaks.)OK.....the boss did figure it all out & replaced the bulb, but in the process broke a little plastic thingy that helps to hold an interior cloth cover thingamabob in place.  There is a second little plastic thingy doing the same job, and we figured two are not necessary anyway, so no big deal. The boss said no charge for the $10 bulb (his cost is $8, absurd) because he broke the little plastic thingy worth about 50 cents.  I insisted on paying something because that just wasn't right, so we split the cost - I gave him 5 bucks - and the labor was free.I believe these people are honest mechanics based on this experience and, although I will continue to take my car to the dealer for service, I believe Osborn's deserves a positive Yelp.
